也许大家不知道，马云上*的时候念的是英语专业，之后还在*教过书，再后来开了一家翻译公司，再然后就有了阿里巴巴。有关于马云学习英语的故事，大家也能在网上找到不少文章。

 

这一次，阿里上市，马云亲自上阵录制宣传片。不愧为英语专业，马云自然流利的英语解说让人印象深刻。而其讲解词当中诸多的语言点，也成为我们学习英语的好素材。

 

总体来讲，马云的英语表达已经相当完美。如果大家听过马云接受BBC采访的片段，就会发现他的临场对话能力也相当出众，真正的对答如流。

 

有 同学会问，马云说的到底是英式英语还是美式英语，答案是，都有。大家在听这个片段的时候，可以发现所有单词当中r的时候，马云都按照美式英语的发音规则把 这个r在发音中体现了出来，而且非常自然。然而，在某些词当中，比如small，短片里就是一个非常地道的英音，因为-all这个部分嘴型很圆。当然，这 些小细节都瑕不掩瑜。

▍founder：来自动词found,。注意：这个found不是find的过去式，是单独的动词，意为成立。顺带提一下，大家熟悉的方正电脑的商标名正是FOUDNER. ▍chairman： 这里指“董事会主席”

▍business： 如果没有接触过较多正式的商业文本，可能不太容易知道business还可以是可数名词。是的，可数名词时，business的意思是“商业机构”。仔细听，Jack Ma好像没有把复数给念出来。

▍这里有意思的是：Jack Ma说了括号前的那个部分，字幕显示了括号里的部分。Mission和Vision这两个词也很值得玩味。 ▍on their terms，一个非常重要的词组，“根据他们的情况”，这个词组在BEC中级考试（真题第四辑）的完形填空中就出现过。

▍significantly,这个词要念完整很难，Jack Ma还是很认真把这个词的每一个音节都说到位，尤其是-ly韵味十足，赞一个。

▍household name：家喻户晓的名字

▍Jack Ma 说了details about, 字幕给了from。此语境下，两者皆可。 *的定于从句，严格意义上讲是不精确的，*的them应该省略。例如：我们说the girl I met(我见到的那个女孩）,而不说the girl I met her

▍spirit这个词很容易念错。关键就在于p和r之间的i，这个i也应该实打实的发出来。注意了，雪碧是Sprite（精灵）。 ▍ignite算是个比较高级的词汇了，意为点燃。但是需要特别注意发音。 ▍entrepreneur这个词既难拼写也难读准（但却是BEC考试的高频词汇），Jack Ma读这个单词的时候出了点小问题，由于这是来自法语的一个单词，因此en的发音为on, *的eur发音应该为eh.

▍commerce，商业。Alibaba所在的行业正是e-commerce，电子商务。commercial的确是它的形容词，但是别忘记commercial也可以成为一个名词，最典型的例子：TV commercial.

 

Alibaba has come a long way, but we want to be a company that can last 102 years. We still have 87 years to go. And we believe one thing, today is difficult, tomorrow is more difficult, but the day after tomorrow is beautiful.

▍为何是102年？也许这个道理就像苹果的logo被咬了一口吧。*的一句非常朴实的翻译了“道路是曲折的，前途是光明的”。

 

So we have to work very hard in order to survive the long journey.

▍survive这个词的用法很特殊，在某种境遇下生存下来，survive之后无需加介词。
