英语句型–表语从句

在复合句中起表语作用的从句被称为表语从句。表语从句紧跟在系动词后面，用来表示主语的身份和特征。其句子结构通常为主语+系动词十表语从句。

1、表语从句的引导词

可引导表语从句的词有：从属连词that，whether及连接代词和连接副词who，what，which，when，where，why，how等。

Raw material is what we are badly in need of.我们急需的是原材料。

The question is whether we shall stay here or not.问题是我们是否还留在这里。

2、常跟表语从句的系动词

这类系动词有：be，remain，look，seem，appear等。

The fact remains that we are behind the other groups.事实是我们仍落在其他小组后面。

That seems where zoe differ.这似乎是我们的分歧所在。

当主句中的主语是名词the reason时，表语从句通常由that引导，而不用because。

The reason why(that)he was to blame is that he伽s carelessand irresponsible.

他受到指责的原因是工作马虎，不负责任。

The reason he did not come is that he was ill.他没有来是因为他病了。
