1.表示当前的动向
People are getting less tolerant of smoking these days.如今人们对吸烟较为难以容忍了。
Houses are costing more these days.如今房价越来越贵了。
She is resembling her mother more and more as the years go by.随着年龄的增长，她越来越像她母亲了。
2.重复的动作
副词always(表示屡次)，repeatedly(再三地)，forever(老是、不断地)等可与进行时连用，表示不断重复的动作：
She's always helping people.她经常帮助别人。
He's always causing trouble.他总是在制造麻烦。
The little boy is forever asking questions.这小男孩老是没完没了地问问题。
现在进行时讲解：
时间标志：
Now现在 right now现在，立即，at the moment=now 现在 look看 Listen听等。
例如：
I am cleaning my bedroom now.我正在打扫我的卧室。
Listen! Mary is singing in the classroom.听，玛丽正在教室里面唱歌。
Look! The dog is playing with a ball.看，小狗正在玩球。
We are watching TV at the moment.我们现在正在看电视。
现在进行时的句式及转换:
肯定句：主语+be动词+动词ing形式+其他
否定句：主语+be动词+not+动词ing形式+其他
一般疑问句：be动词+主语+动词ing形式+其他
巧记口诀：
现在进行要注意，有be才有ing,be的形式看主语，双写情况要留意，否定be后加not,疑问主语前是be
现在进行时的特殊用法：
一.现在进行时与短暂性动词搭配使用时可表示将来的时态如：go，come，leave，fly，move，start，begin，arrive，stay，return and so on。
eg.Next month my family is moving to Beijing.下个月，我家就要搬到北京去了。
My son is leaving tomorrow. 我儿子明天就走了。
二.并不是所有动词都有进行时，一些动词一般在句中不能用现在进行时态，而应用一般现在时。这些动词往往是等表示情感状态、知觉认识、愿望或短暂性的动词。例如：see(明白)，know(知道;了解)，want(需要;想要)，like(喜欢)，hear，have(有)，think(想;认为)，hope，hate and so on。
eg. I hate that woman. 我恨那个女人。
I hope we can go to England together. 我希望我们能一起去英国。
三.有时候也可以用介词来表示正在“进行”的动作。
eg. He is at work. 他正在工作。
Our new high way is under construction. 我们的新高速公路正在修。
现在进行时的被动语态：
1、定义：表示此时此刻某事正在被做.
例如：
The sport meeting is being held in our school.
我校正在举行运动会.
Another bridge is being built over the Yangtze River.
长江上正在修建另一座大桥.
2、构成：be + being+过去分词
A number of Dongfeng trucks are being shipped abroad.
一批东风卡车正被运往国外.
3、用法：
1)“be being done” 中的动词be应随主语作相应的变化.
2)将现在进行时的主动语态变为现在进行时的被动语态的关键是：把be doing变为be being done.
例1.The students are cleaning the classroom now.
→The classroom is being cleaned now.
现在学生们正在打扫教室.(are cleaning变为is being cleaned)
例2.The boy is counting some eggs.
→Some eggs are being counted.
那男孩正在数蛋.(is counting 变为 are being counted)
